Content Section
The Content section is included in the Flexi Starter plan and gives you a flexible way to build custom layouts directly in the Shopify Theme Editor. Unlike rigid pre-built sections, the Content section is designed as a modular container system that you can shape into whatever you need.
How It Works
The Content section is structured in three levels:
Layout → The overall section wrapper.
Groups → Flex containers that control how content is arranged.
Blocks → The actual content (text, images, buttons, etc.) you drop inside groups.
This modular approach lets you mix and match layouts — without touching code.
Groups
Each group acts as a flex container inside the layout. You can control how each group arranges its content:
Horizontal (row) → Items are placed side-by-side.
Vertical (column) → Items are stacked top-to-bottom.
You can add multiple groups to a single layout, making it possible to create multi-column layouts, feature grids, or nested stacks.
Blocks
Inside each group, you can add blocks that you can add content to.
Examples include:
Text
Headings
Images
Buttons
Icons
Because blocks inherit the group’s flex behavior, they’ll automatically align and space correctly without extra setup.
Example Layouts
Here are a few ways you might use the Content section:
Two-Column Layout → Add one group set to horizontal, then place a text block on the left and an image block on the right.
Stacked Features → Add multiple groups set to vertical, each containing an icon, heading, and text block.
Hero Banner → Add one group with a background image, then layer in a heading and button block.
Why Use the Content Section?
Flexibility → Build unique layouts instead of relying on rigid pre-made designs.
Consistency → Groups and blocks use Flexi’s design system, so your layouts stay clean and professional.
Starter Plan Ready → Available free with every Flexi install.
