# Featured Text

The **Featured Text** section creates a clean, editorial two-column layout built for story pages, about sections, and anywhere you want a label paired with longer body copy. Add a section **Heading** and **Description** in the left column, then build out the right column with any theme or app blocks inside the **Featured text layout**—headings, descriptions, dividers, buttons, images, or any other Flexi blocks. On desktop the columns sit side by side with adjustable ratios (50/50, 30/70, or 20/80); on mobile they stack naturally. Customize heading color, content alignment (left, center, or right), section width (fixed, full, or theme-native containers for Dawn, Horizon, or custom themes), background colors or images with overlay, spacing, and scroll animations—all without code, directly in the Shopify Theme Editor. It works with any Shopify 2.0 theme and is ideal for brand stories, value propositions, mission statements, or editorial content blocks that need a structured label-and-body format.

**Install the App**

Visit the Shopify App Store and install Flexi Slider Sections. Start your free trial to access all features and sections.

**Install Section**

Open the Flexi app and navigate to the sections library. Search for "Featured Text" and click "Add to Theme" to install it instantly.

**Add to Your Store**

Go to your Shopify admin → Online Store → Themes → Customize. Click "Add section" and select "Featured Text" from the available sections.

**Set Section Width**

In the section settings, choose your preferred layout:

* **Fixed**: Set a custom maximum width (320px - 1440px)
* **Full**: Spans the entire page width
* **Custom Theme**: Use your theme's page width class (e.g. `section` on Horizon)
* **Dawn Theme** / **Horizon Theme**: Match those theme container widths

**Add Content**

In the section settings, add your **Heading** and **Description** for the left column. Inside the **Featured text layout** block, click "Add block" to add content blocks—descriptions, dividers, headings, buttons, or any other theme blocks—for the right column.
